Jack Lim says fire at "Amazing Spring" set was unexpected
20 Sep – "Amazing Spring" executive producer Jack Lim recently admitted that the fire that broke out during the filming of a burning scene for said movie in Selangor recently was an unexpected occurrence.
As reported on Mingpao, the producer who appeared at the press conference alongside director Nick Wong following the accident, shared that the studio has already taken safety measures before the scene, including having firemen on location and reminding the cast members to stay at safe distance so that the buildings won't fall on them.
The plan was to set three buildings on fire, and that they would control the fire using an electronic instrument.
"But we didn't expect that the fire would spread through the ground and reach the cast members," he said.
Jack stated that the whole thing happened in just two seconds, and that they didn't have enough time to react.
"Everything will be handed over to the police for investigation," he added.
