J.Lo Puts an Elevated Spin on the Little Black Dress for the Red Carpet
Jennifer Lopez knows how to make a classic look her own.
Last night, the actress and singer attended the New York City screening of her upcoming action film The Mother. The event was held at The Whitby Hotel in midtown.
For the occasion, Lopez put an elevated spin on the little black dress, opting for a sleeveless midi by Versace with a straight neckline and structured shoulders. She styled the sleek piece with black-and-gray snakeskin sandals which wrapped around her ankles, and a large diamond choker. She also wore a diamond cuff to match, and carried a simple black clutch from Tyler Ellis. For glam, the "Ain't Your Mama" singer opted for bronzy makeup, a glossy lip, and a bombshell blowout.
Lopez has been showing off her versatile style while promoting her film. Just yesterday, she stopped by for an appearance on the Today show in two totally different, but equally intriguing, looks.
One ensemble was composed of a sheer Tiffany blue top and matching leather pencil skirt. The see-through mesh blouse featured voluminous bishop sleeves and delicate pleated details. Underneath, she wore a strapless nude bustier.
Hours later, Lopez changed out of her mermaid-core, monochromatic ensemble and into a head-to-toe leopard print outfit. The maximalist look included a tiny minidress in the print, covered in sparkling sequins and embellished with dramatic mocha-brown boa feathers at the sleeves. J.Lo added more glitter with some leopard-print leggings by Valentino, which were entirely embellished with shimmering beads. Finally, she finished the outfit with leopard-print pumps and a tiny leopard-print Valentino purse.
The Mother is set to arrive on Netflix this May 12.
