Iza Calzado opts for no heavy dramas during pregnancy
12 Oct – Although she is not saying no to work now that she is heavily pregnant with her first child, Iza Calzado admitted that she is slowing it down.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who announced her pregnancy back in August, shared that she has been opting to do cameos and smaller roles for now due to her pregnancy, and is saying no to heavy dramas.
"There are things that I'm choosing not to do because I don't want that kind of energy for the child. So, it's going to be a different chapter I guess but also the same," she said. "I have been talking to my manager and said, 'If there's a cameo I can do, I want to see myself on screen as the pregnant woman.' Because when else?"
As for her first pregnancy, Iza said that she is happy that it has been a smooth one for her.
"I didn't really get morning sickness; I've been able to work out. I'm so grateful. I'm enjoying it. It really came at a perfect time because even if it was unplanned, I've been ready for it. So, I'm due early next year," she added.
