Ice cream brand Island Creamery shut its original branch at Serene Centre yesterday (21 May) as it began moving the outlet to its new location in Holland Village.

The home-grown ice cream parlour announced the news on their Facebook page on 15 May, writing: “Hi all, we will be relocating from Serene Centre to 19 Lorong Liput at Holland Village during the week of 21 May 2018. Please excuse us if the service during the week is lacking.”

The shop’s iconic wall, featuring photos of its customers, has been taken down as well. Fans of the establishment had been returning to the shop to collect their photos.

The outlet in Bukit Timah was one of the first ice cream parlours in Singapore to sell premium ice cream featuring local flavours such as Teh Tarik and Pineapple Tart. The brand is also known for its mud pies and baked Alaskas.

Island Creamery says it will announce the shop’s re-opening date soon.
