Irene Wan terrified by pregnancy
24 Aug - Actress-producer Irene Wan recently admitted that being beauty conscious was one of the reasons why she decided not to get pregnant throughout her 16 years of marriage.
As reported on On CC, the actress, who appeared on the I-Cable show "Love in Vain", recently talked about the subject of children and why she decided not to have her own kids, saying, "I didn't want to lose my figure, and I am also scared of blood. I was already horrified from seeing my older sister's entire pregnancy process."
Instead, she and husband Ho Cho Kong decided to adopt an orphan from China, and named him Xavier.
"He's like my little boyfriend. He knows how to make me happy and he also brings me flowers," she said.
Irene also sees herself as a modern Cinderella-a poor uneducated girl who married into a rich family.
"Fortunately, my in-laws never minded my background," she said.
