Irene Wan denies leaving showbiz soon

6 Apr – Hong Kong actress-producer Irene Wan has denied reports saying that she is retiring from showbiz to focus on taking care of his son, as he continues his studies in the United States.

As reported on Wenweipo, tabloids previously claimed that the actress' upcoming photobook, which will be released in June, will be her farewell gift to fans before she officially retires from the entertainment industry.

But when asked about her supposed plans post-showbiz, Irene said that she never said she is leaving the industry for good.

"I will never give up my acting career. Rest assured, everyone. Like everybody else, I have my own dreams and constantly strive to move forward," she said.

Irene, who also produces her own movies, revealed that she still has a lot in store for the future when it comes to making movies and television dramas, especially her upcoming movie, "My Youth", which revolves around her life as a child in Tiu Keng Leng.

The aforementioned film is tentatively scheduled to be released this June.
