13 Oct - Chinese top streaming service iQiyi is set to collaborate with ABS-CBN to produce two new and original Filipino dramas for the global audience.
In an official statement released recently, the Asian streaming giant revealed that ABS-CBN will be producing "Saying Goodbye" and "Hello, Heart" for the said platform, adding that the company decided to create this partnership after seeing the positive trend of international viewers being drawn to more Asian content.
"We are excited to play a crucial role in putting Asian content front and centre in collaboration with top-notch creators and talents from Korea and the Philippines to bring compelling Original stories to our users in 191 territories," said iQiyi's vice president of international business Kuek Yu-Chuang.
"Saying Goodbye" will star Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin, who will reunite after the success of "Kadenang Ginto". The two will star as Elise and Ricky, an unlikely pair brought together by their love of music and adventure.
On the other hand, "Hello, Heart" will star Gerald Anderson and singer Gigi de Lana, the latter who plays a woman who is hired to pretend to be a wife to Gerald 's character to please his grandmother with dementia.
