SINGAPORE – From fashion designer to interior stylist and llama mum, creative Singaporean Priscilla Tan has now turned her hand to creating affordable art prints for your home.

Although she is now based in New Zealand, Tan continues to run her popular interior styling business online and via Zoom, staying in touch with her clients worldwide. When the coronavirus struck, Tan found herself uniquely positioned to be able to complete her existing projects and kickstart a whole new income stream.

“Amid the lockdown, I created my website and had the vision of adding a line of products that I already love designing - art prints. This art print collection has been months in the making, and I am so proud and excited about it,” says Tan.

“The collection has over 50 prints to choose from with quotes, colours and graphics that look great as an individual piece or [when] grouped as a set in a gallery wall. I have designed this collection to fit every corner of a home space from the living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms.”

Tan’s print designs range from inspirational quotes to abstract shapes and fun plant images for all the green thumbs out there. She has also created a series of super cute prints perfect for kids’ rooms with cartoon animals, dinosaurs and even a rocket.

“My favourite pieces are the ones designed as a set of two and three, as the impact of a grouped set of artworks is visually more exciting,” explains Tan.

As well as the digital print, customers also get access to Tan’s popular How To Style a Gallery Wall Guide, her top 10 art framing templates and an instruction sheet. For the cost of SG$12, you get four scalable, high-resolution JPEG files of the print so that you can choose the size appropriate for your space.

Buying digital artwork is a relatively new phenomenon, although sewists have been purchasing digital patterns for years. The biggest issue with digital prints is getting a high-quality print on the right type of paper to make the most of the artwork. Tan has solved this problem for her customers with a partnership.

“I have partnered with The Blush Sparkle on the perfect paperweight and colour of paper. They are able to get them printed, framed and delivered around the world,” explains Tan. “You can also get them printed in your local print shop or with your home office printer.”

With the first 50 prints doing so well, Tan plans to expand her range in 2021 with new, fresh designs. “I hope you like the new collection as much as I do,” she says.
