Intan Najuwa: I am financially independent from my husband!
11 Jun - Intan Najuwa is flabbergasted over the response she got over her decision to take a temporary break from acting in order to focus more on her married life.
The actress, who married businessman Datuk Ahmad Azraf Azman, dismissed the idea that she was a trophy wife who just wanted to have a luxury life with her wealthy husband, as she herself has accumulated her own fortune from her many years as an actress.
"I have my own career, assets, business, and I even had my own education before meeting my husband. I am financially independent. So, if I have to take a break at home for a while, I don't think it's going to be a problem for you guys," she wrote on IG Story.
Intan also said that she was also fulfilling her husband's request and that as a wife, she should obey her husband.
"If I decide to go back to work, I can start anytime, guys. Relax. This is my first year with my husband and I think I deserve it," she added.
She also has a message for all men out there thinking women are after their money.
"We know how to be financially independent, no matter what... Stop acting like we're after your money. We're not interested. Stop talking so much, guys. Level up your life, get to work."
