'Insecure' star Yvonne Orji confirms she's still waiting to have sex until she's married

A clip of "Insecure" alum Yvonne Orji confirming she's still a virgin on Chelsea Handler's podcast is going viral.

A portion of the Sept. 7 episode of the "Dear Chelsea" podcast in which Handler asked Orji whether she's "still a virgin" garnered hundreds of thousands of likes after being shared by accounts such as @theshaderoom.

"I am!" the actor and comedian, who is open about waiting to have sex until marriage, responded.

"Oh my god, I love this," Handler enthused. "This is the most original guest we've ever had on! And what are you, 39?"

Orji, who turns 40 in December, added that whenever people express concern over her virginity, she responds, "Pray for him. Whoever he is ... pray for him, because there is a lot of pent-up energy up in here with me."

Later, she asked Handler, "If you know any good men, Chelsea, send them my way, please."

"You're going to hit your sexual peak when you start having sex, so you're going to need a couple of men, probably," Handler quipped.

At 39, Yvonne Orji says she's now ready for marriage

In a 2017 TedX talk, titled "The wait is sexy," Orji described how she had planned to have sex when she turned 18, but her mindset and timeline changed when she attended an on-campus bible study as a freshman in college.

"And by the time I knew it, y'all, I'd been bamboozled by Jesus," she said. "I got saved at 17. I told him I was going to wait till 18, and he swooped in at 17 and now, 33 and still waiting. It's all good, though. I don't mind the wait."

Six years after this talk, Orji told Handler in September, "I'm actually really happy. I feel like I don't think I could've ever gotten married before this moment.

"Maybe, like, 35, I thought I was ready but actually I think I feel the most ready to be in a committed relationship now that will actually last."

In 2017, Orji told USA TODAY that she had help filming believable sex scenes in "Insecure" while playing Molly, a sexually liberated and successful lawyer.

"By the grace of God, we have such an open discourse on set, and I think everyone’s kind of aware — not of my limitations — but just when I see things written, I'm like, 'I'm not familiar with this position. How is this done?' Because my mind goes from zero to 100," Orji said.

She added, "It’s so funny when someone’s like, 'For someone who hasn’t had sex, you play this character very well.' I’m just like, 'If you only knew. I’m under sheets, wrapped like a mummy.' Thankfully on our show, the guys do all the work."
