In a memo to staff, New Yorker editor David Remnick and website editor Michael Luo said Doreen St. Félix, who has covered TV for the magazine since 2019, will continue to write about television and other subjects. Naomi Fry will also contribute to television coverage.

“We are very excited to announce that Inkoo Kang will be joining us on October 10th as The New Yorker’s TV critic, writing for both the magazine and Web site,” Remnick and Luo wrote. “Doreen St. Félix, who has covered TV for us so superbly since 2019, will, thank goodness, go on writing for us on a variety of subjects, including television. Naomi Fry will also write about television occasionally in addition to her other writing.”

Kang, who was named best TV critic by the Los Angeles Press Club while working at THR and won the National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Award for TV Criticism in 2021, lives in the San Francisco area.
