Influencer Li Ziqi advises teens that education and values matter more than fame
21 Nov - Despite being one of the biggest social media influencers in China, YouTuber Li Ziqi is not one to encourage others to be like her.
The content creator, who recently made her YouTube comeback, sat down for an interview, where she was asked to give her opinion about teenagers who have expressed interest to become an internet celebrity or star in the future.
To that she responded, "I hope they can have the right values, study hard and truly become someone who can seize every opportunity there is."
Li added that she wants the young people of today to learn to make use of opportunities rather than just have dreams.
Her statement had since won praises from many, who stated that Li must know how hard it is to become a social media influencer. Others said that she must have learned from previous mistakes of trusting others when it comes to her brand, and wants young people to be educated enough to make it in the world.
Meanwhile, there are others who questioned Li's response, with one netizen saying, "I am an internet celebrity, and I don't want others to be internet celebrities", and another commenting, "I sincerely suggest that she make more videos and make fewer comments of this kind."
