Ikea Japan holds Matcha Fair to celebrate new tea season

In celebration of the “shincha (new tea) season”, Ikea Japan is holding a Matcha Fair from 28 April to 26 June.

This special period, which takes place around late April, is the first tea-picking season of the year. The first spring shoots are harvested during this season to produce some of the sweetest-tasting tea.

The delectable desserts featured in Ikea Japan’s Matcha Fair include matcha and warabi mochi pancakes, matcha afternoon tea set, matcha gateau chocolat, matcha mont blanc, matcha ichigo daifuku, matcha tart, matcha soufflé roll, matcha muffin, matcha bagel, matcha sundae, and matcha soft serve.
