Chinese-owned streaming platform iQiyi has picked up the highly anticipated Thai boys' love drama, KinnPorsche, as well as two new shows from Taiwan, Lesson In Love and Oh No! Here Comes Trouble.

KinnPorsche, a BL action series about a mafia boss and his bodyguard, stars Mile Phakphum Romsaithong (Ladytwenty, Khamin Rak Kap Poon) and Apo Nattawin Wattanagitiphat (Chart Suer Pun Mungkorn, Pra Teap Rak Hang Jai).

The drama, which is iQiyi's first Thai original series, is set to premiere globally on 2 April.

iQiyi debuted its trailer for KinnPorsche at the Hong Kong FILMART trade event, which was held virtually this year for the third time.

iQiyi also unveiled five Mandarin language series slated to arrive in 2022.

These included two more Chinese-language original productions from Taiwan on top of its flagship series announced last year.

The Taiwanese productions feature Edward Chen and Tseng Jing-hua, the breakout stars of the 2020 gay drama, Your Name Engraved Herein.

Besides the above new shows, iQiyi confirmed the global launch of three flagship Chinese programmes: The Wind Blows From Long Xi, Love Between Fairy And Devil, and Love The Way You Are.
