Huishan Zhang Celebrates Chinese New Year at George Club With Golda Rosheuvel

LONDON Huishan Zhang’s fall 2024 London Fashion Week show may be in three days, but that didn’t stop the designer from celebrating Chinese New Year with an intimate crowd at London members club George.

Actor Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte in Netflix’s “Bridgerton” and “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” was in attendance with the likes of writer Bettina Korek, celebrity stylist Holly White and Nassia Matsa.

“Chinese New Year is all about celebrating together with friends and family. Most years I am in China with my family but London is also my home so to be able to celebrate this year with my London friends and family as well meant so much to me,” said the designer.

“It is also so exciting to see so many people embrace the celebrations of Chinese New Year. I love hearing all my friends here discussing which Chinese zodiac sign they are,” he added.

This season the Chinese-born designer is looking at “cinematic legends” and their “famous romantic feud,” without giving away any hints.

For pre-fall 2024, Zhang referenced Roger Kumble’s 1999 film “Cruel Intentions.”

The designer’s London business is a promising one. In December last year, he said denim was a growing category for the business, as well as tailoring.
