Hugo Wong claims to have panic disorder due to scandal
22 Apr – TVB actor Hugo Wong recently admitted that he developed a panic disorder following previous allegations about his philandering ways.
As reported on On CC, the actor who was accused of impregnating a mainland fan in 2018, shared in an interview that he was filming "Airport Strikers" when the news broke out and couldn't help but face the media.
"It really stressed me out. I was worried all the time what kind of report would surface later on. I couldn't even hide myself at home at the time. At one point, I even had difficulty breathing," he said.
Hugo also admitted that he became traumatised by the scandal, and developed a feeling of wariness in facing the opposite sex.
"Even when I like someone, I'm too scared to approach her. I would rather focus on my career. I am not good with relationships, so I don't think I should have one right now," he said.
At the same time, Hugo said that he is thankful to TVB for not giving up on him and continued giving him opportunities to work.
Back in 2018, a mainland fan accused Hugo of abandoning her after finding out that she was pregnant with his child. At the same time, singer TikChi also claimed that the actor had been trying to hook up with her.
The news sparked anger among many people, as two years prior, the actor also made headlines for supposedly being the third party in actress Hiromi Wada's marriage.
