Hugo Ng and Lily Chung invest in kopitiam in Malaysia

11 May – After frequently visiting Malaysia and enjoying Malaysian food, Hugo Ng and wife Lily Chung took another step by investing in F&B in the country.

The Hong Kong-based stars recently appeared at the launch of 9 Kopitiam in EkoCheras Mall, and announced their involvement as both investors and spokespersons.

Admitting that they have always loved Malaysian food, Hugo spoke a bit of Malay and said, "Semua is delicious."

He also revealed that there is a coffee named after him in the 9 Kopitiam menu, saying that it suited his taste.

"I don't like sweet things, and this coffee is not too sweet. But there is ice cream. Everyone can try it," he enthused.

Meanwhile, Lily stated that her parents were actually from Sabah, but that they immigrated to Hong Kong and that she herself grew up in Hong Kong instead.

The couple also hope that the kopitiam will be able to grow and to open international branches, namely in Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as the rest of the Southeast Asian market.
