Huang Yi apologises for using art exhibit as photo prop

30 May – Chinese actress Huang Yi recently had to apologise after she was reprimanded by an art gallery for taking out an art exhibit to take photos with it.

As reported on SETN, the actress earlier posted several photos of herself in a black dress, holding a crystal rose outside the Song Art Museum in Beijing and received lots of praises from her fans.

However, to everyone's surprise, the art museum reposted the photos on its official Weibo account, and posted, "The crystal rose that Ms. Huang Yi is holding is the work of the artist in the museum's current exhibition. I would like to remind Ms. Huang Yi and the team to respect the artist and the museum."

It also added that guests should not touch the exhibits without the permission of the museum.

Following the post, the actress quickly removed her previous photos and posted a quick statement that read, "I am sorry that I used the items of the venue during the filming at the Song Art Museum. I know that as a public figure, I should always pay attention to my words and deeds. My team and I will be more rigorous in our work and life in the future. Thank you for your supervision!"
