Huang Xiaoming lost his beloved grandmother

3 Dec - Amid the controversy surrounding his new love life and his film's lacklustre response, Huang Xiaoming is now facing the loss of his beloved grandmother.

The actor shared the sad news on 1 December via social media, writing, "My most beloved grandma has passed away at the age of 95. Everything was fine. She came from a privileged family but was low-key, hardworking, kind, and devoted her whole life to her family. She taught us to be kind to others, to help others more, and to be filial."

"So grandma was blessed and insisted on seeing all of her children before she passed away peacefully."

Huang also said that it was the last time that his grandmother held his hand tightly and called his name.

"She also asked me if I had eaten. If I hadn't, she would cook for me. She was always afraid that I would be hungry," he said.

"When I was young, grandma always moved a stool and sat by the stove to bake apples, oranges, sweet potatoes, and small yellow fish for me. It was so happy! After I went to school, grandma always stood at the door or window of the house, waving her hand to send me off. Until I turned the corner, she was still waving. I couldn't bear to look back. I was afraid of crying, and I was even more afraid of grandma crying. Grandma is an angel, and she has returned to heaven! Grandma, I miss you so much!"
