Huang Xiaoming denies going clubbing without wife
18 Feb – Huang Xiaoming has recently dismissed rumours that he had been spending Valentine's Day at a night club instead of with his wife, Angelababy.
As reported on CTWant, the rumours sparked earlier this week, when some netizens shared a photo of a man in a night club with several women, claiming that the man in the photo was Huang Xiaoming himself.
It was further fuelled by Angelababy's post on social media, in which she stated that she was not celebrating the said day as it was a Westerner's holiday and instead wished her fans a happy third day of the Lunar New Year.
Some of Angelababy's fans had since flooded Huang's social media account, asking him about the allegation. Meanwhile his fans dismissed the photo as false, saying that it was an old photo taken of Huang.
In response to the allegation, Huang's rep released his itinerary during the Lunar New Year, saying that Huang had been busy filming his new movie in Chongqing since 4 February, and only returned to Qingdao on the eve of the Lunar New Year to visit his grandmother before returning to the set.
As for the nightclub photos that went viral on the internet many years ago, the rep said that Huang was not clubbing at all but was attending a normal gathering with friends.
The agency also called for netizens and media alike to stop disseminating false information, stating that they have instructed their lawyers to collect evidence for a possible lawsuit.
