There are also many different types of yoga, such as the beginner-friendly Hatha Yoga, the core-intensive Kundalini Yoga, the meditative Yin Yoga, and the relaxing Restorative Yoga. Depending on what kind of yoga you practise, the ideal yoga mat differs. The things to consider include the thickness and the material of the yoga mat.
For more fast-paced yoga like Ashtanga Yoga, Lyengar Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Hot Yoga, you will need a yoga mat that provides more stability and grip. Your ideal yoga mat should have good adhesion and is around three to five millimetres thick.
