Hong Kong film legend Tony Leung adds another honorary degree to his impressive career

9 Dec - Tony Leung Chiu Wai has been conferred with an honorary doctorate yet again!

The legendary actor, along with actor Sammo Hung and director Ann Hui, was awarded the honour from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts on 5 December.

Wife Carina Lau has also shared the good news on Instagram on 7 December, writing, "Congratulations Dr Leung... Again!"

It is noted that it was just last month that Tony was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in humanities from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

Declining to give a long speech, he said, "I only know how to act, I don't know how to teach or educate people, but I am happy to share my experience."

Tony will be working with the famous Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda next, with filming to begin in the next winter.
