Hong Kong celebs express sadness over Ellen Joyce Loo's passing

14 Aug – Stars recently expressed their shock and sadness over the death of singer-songwriter, Ellen Joyce Loo, Mingpao reported.

Fiona Sit, who struggled with depression before, shared a photo of her with Ellen on Instagram, and wrote, "Thank you for being a loving kind soul, and thank you for coming into our lives with your music, energy and love. Deeply saddened by this news this morning, just want you to know that I will miss you much."

"I shall keep you in my prayers, may God hold you tight in his loving arms. Love you Ellen."

Lyricist Wyman Wong shared, "I know maybe it's not easy, but someone has to say, "We lost a dear friend. There are lot of emotions to deal with. It won't be easy for some time. But please take care of yourself and the people left behind. This is very important"."

Sammy Leung, who appeared at an event recently, admitted that he also once suffered from mental illness.

"The support from close friends are very important," he said.

Wilfred Lau, who last saw Ellen at the taping of "Good Night Show - Kingmaker", stated that it was difficult for him to accept the fact, especially since he just spoke to her.

Charlene Choi also posted a group photo with Ellen, writing, "The last time I saw you, you congratulated Gillian. I hope you are happy. Miss you, Ellen."

She was 32.
