Hins Cheung removed from "Singers 2017"?
16 Jan - Rumours are rife that Hins Cheung has been removed from participating in the upcoming new season of "I am A Singer".
As reported on Tencent, the show previously released a poster of Hins and a video message from the singer, in which he promised to give his best performance on the show and to use the platform to sing his favourite tunes.
However, the reveal was soon met with displeasure from mainland Netizens, who claimed that Hins previously supported the pro-democracy movement in both Hong Kong and Taiwan.
On 14 January, fans noted that the show's social media account had deleted all things related to Hins, including his video content and poster.
When asked about this, Hin's manager only responded, "We will release an official statement soon."
Hins previously denied his involvement in the pro-democracy movement, saying that he never published anything against China or participate in any Hong Kong pro-independent activity, stressing that he opposes anything that can harm the national unity.
