Himeka Nakamoto announces marriage

1 Mar - Former Nogizaka46 member Himeka Nakamoto recently announced that she is now married.

The announcement was made via her official blog on 28 February, with the former singer saying that her husband is a non-showbiz person who is the same age as her.

"He is like a cheerful and reliable older brother, and a playful and cute younger brother," she said. "I will value him as much as he values me."

Himeka joined Nogizaka46 from 2011 to 2017 before she graduated and became a mental health counsellor.

She studied cognitive behavioural therapy and counselling, and opened her own practice in 2018 called Monica and Me Counselling Salon to accommodate those who cannot leave their homes or are concerned about the stigma around mental health issues.
