Hillary Clinton Just Bought A White House For $1.16 Million
Hillary Clinton currently has her sights set on living in the most famous white house in the country (again). But she's also had her eye on another white house we didn't know about - the one located next door to her vacation home in Chappaqua, New York.
The purchase of this $1.16 million ranch-style home makes the end of Old House Lane a "Clinton compound" of sorts, and people have some guesses as to why Bill and Hillary wanted to invest in the property. Some think it'll serve as a dwelling for their daughter Chelsea and her family. Others think it's where their Secret Service detail will stay should Hillary become POTUS.
Either way, the 3,631-square-foot home is hardly your average guest house. It was previously owned by architect Charles Chepigin and comes with its very own pool. It also sits on 1.5 acres of land, which is more than the 1.1 acres their Dutch colonial offers. Hey, a combined 2.6 acres will certainly offer more privacy, which we imagine is all the Clintons want when they get the chance to sneak away to upstate New York.
