Hi Leskmi Whampoa Nasi Lemak Eco Bee Hoon — Family-run Chinese-style pandan coconut rice stall’s latest branch also offers noodles
Hi Leskmi Nasi Lemak at Whampoa Makan Place food centre may sound like an Indian-owned business, but the establishment is actually run by a Chinese family who named it after the Hindu Goddess of wealth and fortune. On 16 Mar 2024, their latest branch named Hi Leskmi Whampoa Nasi Lemak Eco Bee Hoon was opened, offering a little something more.
Situated at BK Eating House along 824 Tampines Street 81, the stall offers a variety of sets for you to choose from.
If you have a good appetite and want something with a bit of everything, get the Combo Set (S$8) which consists of a crispy chicken wing, breaded fish fillet, otah, ikan bilis, peanuts, a fried egg and curry vegetables. Don’t forget to ask for the delicious sambal as well!
Seeking something simpler? No problemo! The menu also offers the following sets:
Set A (S$4.50)— chicken wing, fried egg, ikan bilis and peanuts
Set B (S$5.50)— fish fillet, cabbage, fried egg, ikan bilis and peanuts
Set C (S$5.50)— otah, sambal long beans, fried egg, ikan bilis and peanuts
For those dining on a budget, the stall also offers a Value Meal (S$3.50) which comprises plain rice, fish fillet, fried egg and hot dog. What’s more, the stall also opens at 6.30am, catering to customers who want an early breakfast
If you like the freedom of picking what lands on your plate, simply go for the à la carte style and customise your very own platter. Make your selection amongst 17 different ingredients like Kuning Fish (S$1.50), Curry Chicken w/ Potatoes (S$2), Taiwan Sausage (S$1.30) and more.
Unlike its other branches that sell just nasi lemak, the latest outlet also offers noodle options like mee goreng, kway tiao mee and bee hoon. For Tampines residents who haven’t had Hi Leskmi Nasi Lemak before, why not swing by 824 Tampines Street 81 and give it a try?
