HGTV's New Show Answers One Major Question About the People on "House Hunters"
HGTV is already jam-packed with House Hunters and its various spinoffs, like Tiny House Hunters and House Hunters International. And now the network is adding a brand-new show that answers a burning question about the people who look for houses on House Hunters: where are their kids?
Usually, House Hunters just focuses on a couple looking for a house, and maybe there are a shot or two of their kids enjoying the space at the end. But do the adults just get babysitters every time they look at houses? It's unrealistic-sure, usually the grown-ups do most of the hunting, but sometimes they have to cart around a kid or two for open houses.
HGTV announced Tuesday that the new show, House Hunters Family, actively involves the kids in the house-buying process. Cameras follow both parents and their kids as they look at houses, and everyone has to come to an agreement-even the little kids.
The first episode, which airs July 31 at 10 p.m., follows a Colorado couple and their four kids. The parents want a big kitchen and open layout, but the kids want a big playroom, a big backyard, and their own bedrooms. Preview clips show the kids fighting over which bedroom would belong to which kid, and imagining where a trampoline would go in the backyard. Sounds about right.
