Herman Yau denies new project with Anthony Wong, Francis Ng
1 Aug– Director Herman Yau has recently dismissed the notion that he has a plan for a movie starring Anthony Wong, Francis Ng, Dayo Wong and the lot.
As reported on Mingpao, the director, who sat down for an interview to promote "The White Storm 3" recently, addressed the recent photo that went viral on the internet of him having a meal with the three actors as well as fellow actors Sean Lau, Lau Siu Ming, and Cheung Tat Ming.
Said Herman, "We would have dinner once in a while, and I didn't know that Anthony would share the photo. That night, none of us spoke about doing a project together. We only had a get-together since Francis was going to be on the mainland for work for several months."
Asked what they talked about, the filmmaker stated that they would usually speak about their shared interests, including movies, but never about working together in one.
"We have been that way since we knew each other. At this age, everybody is busy with their own thing. Maintaining decades-long friendship is not easy, so we absolutely cherish it," he added.
