Here's How Long You Have to Snag Vail Resorts' Epic Pass Before the Price Goes Up
The pass is currently $1,004, but will increase after Sept. 2.

It may still feel like the dog days of summer, but Vail Resorts is making sure skiers are ready for the slopes thanks to its famed Epic Pass.
The pass — which offers unrestricted access to more than 40 different mountain resorts including several international destinations — is currently $1,004, but will increase after Sept. 2
In addition to the unlimited Epic Pass, Vail offers several other passes, including the Epic Local Pass, which offers unrestricted access to 29 resorts for $746; and the Epic Day Pass, which varies in price from $44 to $95 per day.
As a bonus, Epic Pass holders will receive early access to Vail Resorts’ Winter Getaway Sale, which offers up to 35 percent off hotels and vacation rentals. The sale starts on Aug. 22 for Epic Pass holders and runs from Aug. 27 to Sept. 3 for non-pass holders.

While opening dates are subject to weather conditions, however, Colorado’s Keystone Resort is slated to be the first to open with plans to welcome skiers and boarders to rip as early as mid-October, Vail confirmed to Travel + Leisure. The opening will be followed by other Colorado resorts Breckenridge on Nov. 8 and Vail Mountain on Nov. 15.
On Nov. 22, the company will then open the slopes at Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Heavenly and Northstar in California, and Park City Mountain in Utah. That will be followed by Colorado’s Beaver Creek and Crested Butte on Nov. 27, and both Kirkwood in California and Stevens Pass in Washington on Dec. 6.
