How Much Did The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Cast Get Paid?

Even though we all know that looking at exactly how much actors and actresses make for their work will instantly makes us weep and hate the world, we just can’t help but take a peek.

Which is why I know that there will be an awfully lot of you out there that will be eager to see the amount that each Avenger pocketed for their work on ‘Age Of Ultron’. And, unsurprisingly, it’s an amount that will almost certainly shock you to your very core.

It’s been common knowledge that ever since re-negotiating his contract with Marvel Studios Robert Downey Jr. has been raking it in from his boss. In fact, he’s expected to earn $40 million again for his work on ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ having previously been paid $50 million for ‘The Avengers’.

It’s great to see that Scarlett Johansson comes in second with her earnings of $20 million. Johansson has been a firm member of the Marvel posse since making her debut in ‘Iron Man 2’ back in 2010, and even though she hasn’t had a solo film she more than deserves her hefty pay cheque.

However, it’s quite shocking just how much it then drops off for the four remaining actors. Especially since Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth each have led their own franchises for the studio.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner can be quite chuffed that his performances as the often maligned Hawkeye are deemed so integral by Marvel Studios that he earns more than double what Mark Ruffalo was paid for his work as the Hulk, a character fans are often pleading gets his own solo film.

Not that these numbers will do anything to convince Marvel fans that Hawkeye is cooler than the Hulk though. Because, obviously, that’s still far from the case.

What do you think of the above earnings? Did it make you instantly vomit, weep or both?
