When it comes to romantic dates, location is key. So why not celebrate Valentine’s Day this year in a quiet environment with a 360-degree view of the sea and greenery, 24 metres above the ground?

Singapore-based outdoor activities organiser Outdoor Adventures is opening up its hourglass-shaped tower in Sentosa, normally used for recreational climbing, to couples looking for a unique date.

Priced from $158 a couple, dining on the “Team Challenge Hourglass” is available for bookings on 14, 24 and 25 February, and diners will be treated to a scrumptious spread of tapas, main courses and desserts.

The options available for tapas include crunchy chicken tulips, deep fried calamari and seasoned potato wedges. Main course options consist of ribeye steak, pan-fried salmon or mushroom risotto. For dessert, couples get to dig into homemade chocolate cake served with berry-flavoured cream cheese, orange-apple coulis and wild berries compote.

It’s reasonably priced considering that the tower costs $1,500 for a half-day rent.

A total of five couples are allowed to dine on top of the tower at any one time, and each dinner will take place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
