Hera Chan wins Miss Chinese International 2019
4 Mar – Miss Hong Kong 2018 Hera Chan has recently been named Miss Chinese International at this year's pageant.
As reported on HK01, the event, which was concluded on 2 March, saw the 24-year-old Hong Kong representative winning the crown, besting other contenders including hot favourite Stephanie Wang from Hawaii - who won first runner-up, and Tavee Meesang from Bangkok - who won Miss Congeniality.
On the other hand, the second runner-up went to Gina Wu from New York.
In the talent segment, Hera wowed the audience with an aerial yoga and hula hoop performance, despite some mistakes during the performance.
Hera's victory marks the end of the five-year drought for Hong Kong, which last enjoyed a win through Grace Chan - who is now an actress under TVB management.
