Hera Chan: Miss HK is an easier job than being an actor

19 Aug – Although she started her acting career through winning Miss Hong Kong 2018, Hera Chan recently revealed that being an actress had always been her biggest dream.

As reported on Singtao Daily, the TVB actress who used to work as a nurse and a model prior to joining showbiz, stated that being an actress was one of her wishes when she was a child, but that she never thought that she would one day become Miss Hong Kong.

In the end, she seized the opportunity to become one through the beauty pageant.

Asked which one is more difficult between the two, she bluntly said, "Being an actor is a lot harder, because not everything is up to you. If you want to do a good job, you can only be more diligent. Filming is very hard, much harder than when I was competing in Miss Hong Kong."

Hera added that while a beauty pageant has a similar tight schedule to a production, at least it has an expiry date, unlike being an actor.

At the same time, Hera admitted that she still has a lot to learn when it comes to acting, saying that her novice performance in "On-Lie Game" still has much room for improvement.

The actress is currently filming two new series, "Seven Princesses" and "Paranormal Shop", where she hopes her improvement can be seen by the audience.
