Have Busted Split Up Again?
Last month, twenty-somethings everywhere rejoiced when Charlie Simpson announced that he had rejoined Busted ten years after he sensationally quit the band and left bandmates, Matt Willis and James Bourne, with no choice but to throw in the towel.
But has the reunion ended before it even got off the ground?
Of course it bloomin’ hasn’t!
McFly’s Dougie Poynter, who is a long-time pal of Matt, James, and Charlie, took to his Instagram account earlier today to share a snapshot of the three boys, who he’d bumped into while vay-caying in Los Angeles.
Poking fun at the band’s rocky past, the 28-year-old captioned the snap: “Caught Busted totally breaking up again. So awkward.”
As funny as it is, please don’t toy with our emotions like that again, Dougs, the pain is still raw.
A catch-up with his pals is no doubt exactly what the doctor ordered for Dougie, with the Essex-born musician reportedly splitting from his long-term girlfriend, Ellie Goulding, just two weeks ago,
While Ellie has been sharing a whole load of happy, smiley, Instagram posts over on her social media channel, Dougie has been keeping to himself, only sharing some pics taken at a recent Weezer gig and, of course, your typical tourist landscape snap.
Sources have claimed that Ellie and Dougie simply drifted apart, but with Ellie totally ignoring her former beau’s birthday the day before the news went public, many have speculated that there might be more to the split than meets the eye.
Whatever’s going on, we just hope that Dougie and Ellie are both okay - and we’re sure that the Busted boys will be looking after our fave lizard-loving bassist.
