It’s time to visit the happiest country in the world — Finland!

Finland has emerged victorious five times in a row (since 2018) in the World Happiness Report, which measures national happiness based on how people evaluate their own lives.

One of the best periods to visit Finland is, of course, during winter. Due to its geographical location, winter in Finland is usually five months long, from November to March. The northern regions like Lapland will experience snow all the way to May.

If you’re still craving some Christmas vibes — How is it ever enough, right? — you must make a trip to the capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi, also known as the hometown of Santa Claus. It is also where you can meet reindeer, huskies and polar bears, and catch the elusive Northern Lights.
