Harry Styles’ One Direction bandmates have shown their support following the death of the singer’s stepfather
Following the sad passing of his stepfather, Harry Styles’ One Direction bandmates have shown their support for the singer.
It was announced in a statement on that Styles’ stepfather, Robin Twist, had passed away aged 57. The singer had acted as best man at Robin’s wedding to his mother, Anne Cox, in 2013.
Writing in the statement, a representative for the singer said, “Harry’s stepfather, Robin Twist, sadly passed away this week after a long battle with cancer. The family asks for privacy at this time.”
Twist, who had two children from a previous marriage, had helped raise Styles from the age of seven after the singer’s mother separated from his father. The couple recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary earlier this month, with Cox sharing an Instagram post.

After the sad news broke that Twist had passed away, Harry Styles’ One Direction bandmates all reached out to the singer to offer their condolences.
On Instagram, Liam Payne shared a picture of Twist writing that his heart went out to Harry , sharing how it was “an extremely sad day for us all who knew Robin.”
“What a kind, gentle and beautiful soul, a true rarity to find in today’s world,” he wrote. “Sometimes they really do take the best of us far too soon. X”

Niall Horan also shared the same picture of Twist, offering his own words to Styles.
“very sad to hear about the loss of Robin . For those who had the pleasure of knowing Robin will know that he was the nicest , kindest, most generous , hilariously funny guy you’ll have met,” he wrote. “He always had a smile on his face even when he was battling the terrible illness . Love ya H . Please give your mum and the rest of the family a massive hug from my family .”

Finally, Louis Tomlinson, who sadly lost his own mother at the end of last year, wrote on Twitter that he was “devastated” by the news.
“He was the such a lovely kind and funny guy. Sending all my love to the whole family,” he wrote, before adding: “You’ll be missed mate.”
