Harith Iskander admits to be the cause of his marriage breakdown
22 Jul - Harith Iskander recently admitted that he was the cause of the breakdown of his marriage with Jezamine Lim.
In an exclusive interview with Daphne Iking on TRP, the comedian stated that it was him who "screwed up" and acted in ways that he shouldn't have.
"I'm not going to say oh I did this, didn't do that. I'm not going to come up with any excuses, I have done stupid things that many men do and you would think I would know better at my age," he said.
While Harith declined to elaborate more on what he meant in order to protect their children, both he and Jezamine dismissed the idea of financial issues, infidelity or domestic abuse.
In the same interview, the two confirmed that they will continue to work together to co-parent their children, with full custody to be held by Jezamine.
"We hope people will refrain from further speculation. I hate saying 'don't speculate' because people are going to speculate anyway," he added.
He also posted a long message on social media following the interview, writing, "Jezamine has been a rock in our family and has constantly been determined toward making things work out - her priority towards keeping the family together cannot be questioned. Jezamine is an amazing mother, business woman, pioneering in her Stem Cells Biotech Business, she is still my manager and runs my production company. I wish for her to fly higher and I will always support her. In the video, you will see that I take full responsibility for this situation."
"On a personal level, I am thankful and feel blessed to be surrounded by people who are for me (including Jezamine) and have always supported me in both my personal and career goals. Jezamine and I will continue to grow The Hope Branch together. Dr Jezamine will be launching The Hope Autism center soon, autism education center for B40s."
