Hari Raya 2025: 10 best spots to get Raya goodies in JB
Ramadan is only starting, but as per tradition — for Muslims in Malaysia, at least — we’re already gearing for Raya which is falling on 31 Mar 2025. As a Muslim myself, I’m also guilty of probably preparing too early for the holiday, but hey — it’s Malaysia, things sell out fast!
This also includes getting new clothes, new curtains, new furniture… and of course, filling out the said furniture with fancy jars of festive cookies for guests to enjoy! Whether you’re buying them in bulk or just a few obligatory types for the spirit, it’s simply a must. For my dear Johoreans still in search of the best places to buy them from, I got you!
Here’s a list of 10 best spots to get Raya goodies in JB — get them now before they’re all gone so you won’t panic-buy at the end of Ramadan (ahem, I’m talking from experience)!
1. Oh My Cakes
With an impressive following of 36.6K on Instagram, Oh My Cakes is primarily a JB cafe renowned for — well, cakes. Said by locals to be the affordable destination for those irresistibly fluffy, spongey treats, it’s the perfect spot to indulge in viral desserts without the extravagant price tag.

This Raya, the cafe elevates its festive offerings with an enticing collection of 11 cookies that beautifully blend tradition with modern touch. For those who favour classic Raya treats, the Semperit Klasik (RM25) is a must-try — its buttery, light texture guarantees an effortless crunch on every bite. For a twist, the Semperit Red Velvet, offered at the same price, is the perfect alternative.

Chocolate aficionados are in for a treat, as 5 varieties from the line-up are made just for your palate. The straightforward charm of Chocolate Fingers (RM20) delivers pure, classic cocoa bliss, while the Belgian Choc Chip (RM29) hits you with deeper, more nuanced flavours.

Embracing Malaysians’ growing love for sea salt-flavoured desserts, Oh My Cakes has also introduced sea salt-inspired creations. Both the Sea Salt Chocolate Cookies and Sea Salt Red Velvet (RM29 each) perfectly capture the current craze, adding a subtle, savoury twist to your classic sweet bites.
Biscoff fans, don’t feel left out! The rich Biscoff Cornflakes (RM35) offers a satisfying crunch, and if you prefer something simpler, the Cornflakes Omak (RM25) is just as enjoyable.
