To address this issue, the establishment has launched a couple of 12-plate tasting sets priced at S$38++ and S$68++ on 11 Sep 2023.
Unlike the customary course-by-course omakase experience typically offered here, the 12-plate tasting sets are served all at once. This streamlined approach ensures that diners enjoy a diverse array of dishes without spending too much time; a perfect solution for office workers who have a limited lunch break.
These 12-plate tasting sets arrive in an aesthetically-pleasing rectangular wooden tray. They remind me of the floating breakfast spreads that you can find in pool villas in Bali, which often make waves across social media.
Both options will undeniably highlight the crème de la crème of Hana Japanese Restaurant’s menu, but what truly sets them apart is the quality of their ingredients.
One of their signature items is the Over The Top Maki, which is quintessentially 4 pieces of maki sushi rolls with varying fillings like avocado, egg or cucumber. They are then topped with salmon sashimi cubes and tobiko (or whatever is available for the day).
The other 11 small tasting plates will be a mish-mash of courses consisting of sashimi, seafood, little sushi balls, grilled dishes and fried items. Expect more premium dishes like half mentaiko lobster, grilled prawns, salmon carpaccio and unagi for the S$68++ option.
