'Hamilton' actor Anthony Ramos confirmed for Spike Lee's Netflix series

'Hamilton' actor Anthony Ramos has been cast as one of the male leads in Spike Lee's upcoming Netflix project reports Deadline.

The 10-episode series, "She's Gotta Have It", is a modern update of of Lee's 1986 indie film of the same name.

Lee will direct all episodes of the series, which will tell the story of Brooklyn-based artist Nola Darling, who in her late 20s, is struggling to define herself and divide her time amongst her friends, her job and her three lovers. Ramos will play one of Darling's love interests, Mars Blackmon, originally played by Lee in the movie.

It will be the first series regular role for Ramos, who got his big break playing the roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Hamilton."
