Halle Berry Enters Talks For Kingsman 2

It looks as though Halle Berry is in talks to join ‘Kingsman 2’.

According to Deadline, the 49-year-old ‘X-Men’ actress is now in talks to star in the upcoming sequel to ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’.

“Halle Berry is in talks to join Kingsman 2,” they revealed, “the Matthew Vaughn-directed sequel to the 2015 hit that launched Taron Egerton and grossed over $415 million globally for Fox.”

But who will Halle Berry be playing?

“Berry is in talks to play the head of the CIA,” they revealed. And it looks as though we can expect even more ‘Kingsman’ sequels in the future. “The discussion is for a two picture deal, I’m told.”

Of course, Beery has previously starred as Marvel mutant Storm in the ‘X-Men’ series… and this would mark her return to comic book movies over at 20th Century Fox.

“[Matthew] Vaughn and Jane Goldman wrote the script for the sequel and reports have Julianne Moore also in the film.”

Although little is known about the upcoming ‘Kingsman’ sequel, it looks as though Taron Egerton will be back as Eggsy, with mark Strong presumably reprising the role of Merlin… although that is yet to be confirmed.

It’s also unknown whether Colin Firth’s character Harry Hart will return… even though the character was killed off in the original movie. After all, director Matthew Vaughn has already expressed great interest in bringing him back from the grave.

“A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel,” Vaughn told USA Today. “But I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.”

‘Kingsman 2’ heads to cinemas on 16 June 2017.
