Hael Husaini surprised by "Diam" AACA national win

3 Oct - Hael Husaini recently admitted that he was surprised over his song "Diam" becoming the National Winner of the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA).

The singer, who spoke about the song representing Malaysia at the upcoming prestigious event in the category of "Best Theme Song or Title Theme", said that he is thankful that his and Iqie Hugh's hard work are being recognised.

"This isn't just a win for us but for the whole team responsible for the creation of the song," he said.

"Diam", which is a part of his "Antonim Part 1" album, was used as the theme song for the 2023 Astro drama, "My Famous Ex-Boyfriend", an adaptation of Alaf 21 novel, "Petrichor".

Hael himself starred in the said drama, playing the role of a pop star called Haque Zuhal whose breakup with Sameera, his non-showbiz girlfriend of ten years sparked a series of events that change their lives forever.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards will be held on 3 and 4 December at Capitol Singapore, where the grand final winners will be announced.
