Hacken Lee would love to do a movie with Alan Mak
22 Jan – Hong Kong singer Hacken Lee recently expressed his interest to make an acting comeback, after recording a song for Alan Mak's new movie, "Integrity".
As reported on Oriental Daily, the singer, who has known the director for a while now, shared that he is already familiar with Alan's directorial method, and that he admires how the director is able to create tension and atmosphere in his movies.
"During the recording of the song, ["Buried Alive"], I tried imagine the three leads and explore their characters through music," he said.
Asked if he is interested to work with Alan in a movie, Hacken said that such a thing requires fate.
"But I look forward to working with [Alan] as an actor very much. I don't even mind playing a tree, a pedestrian, or the numerous cops and CIDs that are always in his movies," he added jokingly.
On a more serious note, Hacken said that he would love to play a darker more antagonistic character in future films.
"If I have to choose a character in "Integrity", I would like to play the killer the most. However, I am afraid that I won't be too convincing. Or maybe playing a key witness. I mean, being a "key" means you are an important character but you don't have to be in the film that much," he pointed out lightheartedly.
Hacken's last film appearance was in the 2015 movie, "Wong Ka Yan".
