The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we interact with one another, but it hasn't stopped the summer from making an appearance. Trying to make the most of these, honestly, very strange days, Gwyneth Paltrow shared a sweet selfie taken with her 16-year-old daughter, Apple.

In the cute snap, mother and daughter can be seen lazing on the beach while wearing swimwear. Paltrow aptly captioned the picture, "Summer with my 🍎."

It's hard to believe that Apple turned 16 in May 2020. Her mom shared some stunning birthday snaps on Instagram to commemorate the occasion, and wrote, "I can’t believe I’m actually writing these words but... happy sweet sixteen my darling girl. You are the light of my heart, you are pure joy. You are wickedly intelligent and you have the best, most dry, most brilliant sense of humor. I have the best time being your mom."

Paltrow continued, "I love our nightly evening chats when I really get to hear what’s on your mind. You work hard to get whatever it is you want to achieve, and you have grit and responsibility in spades. I am so damn lucky to be your mother, you beautiful, kind young woman. Thank you for choosing me. I adore you to the moon and back a zillion times."
