"Great Way To Care 2" rape scene talk

21 Mar – The highly anticipated TVB drama, "A Great Way To Care 2", premiered in Hong Kong on Monday night to critical success, with the first episode featuring a serial rapist.

According to Jayne Stars, the medical crime drama sequel opened with a serial rape case perpetrated by a telecommunication salesman named Lai Kai Pang (Dickson Li). Pang had committed similar crimes before, but because he was diagnosed with dissociate identity disorder at the time, he received a light sentence.

After proven to have recovered from his mental illness, Pang returns to the work force, only to commit rape again a few months later, this time on a high school student portrayed by Tina Shek. Although Pang claims that a being known as "Jack the Ripper" forced him to punish women by rape, the newly established Forensic Psychiatry Department believes that Pang is faking his sickness.

Fans who have watched the episode claimed that it was one of the most accurately portrayed murder-rape scenes in the recent TVB drama history. The bloody Tina Shek showed even more skin than Sire Ma who was raped in 2011's "Relic Of An Emissary", as well as undergarments and blood.

The scene parallels that in the award-winning 1994 film, "The Rapist", with Dickson also starring as a rapist in that film.

"A Great Way To Care 2" stars Alex Fong, Kate Tsui, Ben Wong and Yoyo Mung.
