There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In 'Great Outfits in Fashion History,' Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.

In the conversation of early-2000s style "It" girls, Jennifer Aniston continually takes the cake with her carefree elegance. In an era of over-the-top glam, funky prints and an overt obsession with denim, she provided many noteworthy examples of relaxed-yet-refined style. Perhaps it was the "Friends" star's talent or her trendy hair that set her apart, but for me, it was her fashion — which was always put together, but never gaudy — that really stood out.

At the 2002 Los Angeles premiere of her film "The Good Girl," she hit the mark with a look that was both chic and attainable — like, one could totally recreate this, since each piece is quite simple. The outfit is built around one standard item: a classic white tank top, dressed up with dangly gold earrings and a few artfully layered necklaces. Next comes the standout piece, in this case a midnight-blue, floor-skimming maxi skirt that's tight at the waist and ripples down to the carpet, offering just the right amount of contrast against the white tank. On their own, these two wouldn't raise any eyebrows. But artfully paired together? Pure magic.

Equally important are the shoes, with Aniston going for a pair of classic brown sandals. (Yes, this is her movie premiere, and there are no six-inch stilettos in sight.) In terms of glam, unsurprisingly, she kept it natural and muted, especially for 2002: a touch of blush; natural, accentuating eye makeup; a simple lip. She looked comfortable, yet radiant — a balance we all strive to achieve.

This is an outfit one could wear to a summer lunch, to walk around the city or even to lounge in the grass at the park. Accessorized with a shimmery handbag — this is Hollywood, after all —  this look is all about stunning without straining. If you want to channel your inner Jen Aniston this summer, keep scrolling.
