"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" reveals cast members

The movie to star original cast members of "Heneral Luna" and several new additions

- The upcoming historical film, "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" has finally revealed its cast members.

As reported on PEP, the announcement, which was made through the movie's official Facebook page, confirmed Paulo Avelino as the main lead - young general, Gregorio del Pilar - a role he previously played in the 2015 hit movie, "Heneral Luna".

Avelino will be joined by a slew of actors that was previously part of the 2015 movie, including Benjamin Alves, Mon Confiado, Carlo Aquino, E.A Rocha, Perla Bautista, and Epy Quizon.

Actresses Stephanie Sol, Empress Schuck, and Gwen Zamora complete the group of actors.

Its director Jerrold Tarog, who previously helmed "Heneral Luna" shared that it's a bit nostalgic for him to see the original cast returning for the new project, while at the same time, eager to work with new cast members, such as Carlo Cruz, Jason Dewey, Miguel Faustman, and Karl Medina.

"Goyo", written by Tarog and Rody Vera, is the second instalment of the director's historical trilogy that started with "Heneral Luna". It will focus on the struggle of General Gregorio del Pilar and the events that happened after the death of General Antonio Luna.
