Gossip site slammed for alleging Lin Chi-Ling was abused
7 Mar – Lin Chi-Ling's fans recently slammed a mainland news portal for alleging that the Taiwanese actress is a victim of domestic violence.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the issue sparked recently when a gossip site posted a photo of a long-haired woman with serious injuries resting in a hospital bed, hinting that Lin was physically abused by husband AKIRA.
The photo sees the woman closing her eyes, with the rest of her facial features undistinguishable due to the bandaged nose.
The article read, "Lin Chi-Ling has never been happy after her marriage. She was often subjected to domestic violence."
However, upon checking, fans found that the photo was not of Lin at all, but photos of Korean actress Lee Min-Young back in 2007, when she was revealed to have been victimised by husband Lee Chan.
One commenter wrote, "Why are you spreading such rumours and slanders? This is not even Lin Chi-Ling."
Lin and AKIRA tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their first child in January 2022. In a previous interview, the Japanese singer stated that both he and Lin never quarrelled and would resolve their issues by communicating rationally, adding that he is curious as to how quarrelling with her would be like.
