"Gold" to be re-released following Cheah Liek Hou's Paris Paralympics win
4 Sep - "Gold", the movie which depicted the journey of Paralympic badminton champion Cheah Liek Hou, is set to be re-released following his recent win at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
The news was confirmed by Executive Producer Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, saying that Cheah's success in getting gold at the global sporting event brought about Malaysians' hopes and dreams to the world stage.
"As Malaysians, we are very proud of his extraordinary journey and his passion and dedication should be an inspiration to us all," she said.
Meanwhile, director Adrian Teh stated that he is proud of Cheah's success, adding that the athlete has once again proven his greatness in the sport.
"Gold" stars Jack Tan in the lead as Cheah, with Farid Kamil and Wan Raja playing brothers and coach Rashid Sidek and Misbun Sidek respectively. Other stars include Fabian Loo, Josiah Hogan, Daniel Cheah, Yasmin Hani and Meeki Ng.
The movie was previously released in July.
